Dog daycare and overnight boarding in the Haliburton Highlands

Haliburton Kennels

Our story

A family, a farm, and a lot of dogs

We are a family-run kennel in the Haliburton Highlands. Dogs stay in clean, climate-controlled indoor kennels with big fenced play yards, and someone is on site around the clock.

We are a family, not a franchise. The people you meet at drop-off are the same people who feed your dog, walk them, give them their pills and sit with them if they are nervous. Because we live on the property, there is always someone here: overnight, on holidays, in a snowstorm.

We keep things small on purpose. A limited number of guests means we know every dog’s name, who they like to play with, and when something is off. If that means we are sometimes full, we would rather say so than overcrowd.

Someone here at night

Lights-out routine, a last yard trip, and a person on the property all night.

How we work

A few things we believe

Honest updates

If your dog is not eating, or had a scrap in the yard, you hear it from us the same day, not at pick-up.

Vaccines and meet-and-greets

Every guest is up to date on Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and new dogs visit first so nobody is surprised on day one.

Nothing hidden

Prices, discounts and rules are all published. Read the pricing and the policies before you book.
